FAQs
What are you willing to draw? What won’t you draw?
I’d be willing to draw almost any subjects. Tedious things like super detailed, complex machinery can be pretty boring to draw for me. Likewise, complex mech designs and complex scenes, I’ll be up front with you, can be tough for me to draw right now and you may not like the results… we can try to go ahead with it if you insist though.
What payment methods do you offer?
Right now I only really have the intention of using PayPal as it was the only one I could really think of off the top of my head.
So, how does this whole process start exactly?
After we both settle on an agreement of what you’d like from me, I will request 100% payment from you to begin work through paypal. Final artwork will be completed within two weeks from payment (in most cases) and I’ll send you the full res image file and (any extras that may be there) and it’s ALL YOURS! Yay we did it!
That’s a typical scenario, specific cases might call for more contact from me, in which cases, I will keep you totally up to date along the way.
What size is the artwork I will receive?
I usually work with a starting canvas of about 3000 x 2400 pixels but the artwork rarely uses the entire area of the canvas. Generally artwork is large enough to be sized down to 1920 pixels wide.
If you have special size requirements or intend to print the art out, let me know in advance. For printing, document sizes in imperial or metric measurements are fine. Also unless you have higher DPI requirements, printed work will generally be set at 300dpi, so let me know if you need any higher than this.
What about the layered PSD file?
I’m not sure yet how to handle layered PSD files, I would feel at that point that I’m working at my normal freelance graphic design rate which is a much higher cost. Discounted freelance rates might be able to be worked out on a case by case basis.
How long will it take before my work is finished?
Unless you explicitly specify a deadline, expect the completed work in about two weeks time.
What do you use to do your artwork?
Commissions will mostly be digitally done as I don’t have many examples of traditional work on this site and haven’t even begun to figure out material costs or the logistics of shipping physically (because, c’mon, traditional work that you pay for and don’t get to physically hold? No way!). If you really want a traditionally done piece, we can talk it over, just contact me some way.
